Cash App Ventures into Mobile Services with New Phone Plan

Cash App is expanding its offerings beyond financial transactions by launching a mobile service, called Cash App Mobile. This initiative aims to provide users with a seamless experience by integrating telecommunications with their existing financial services. The new phone service will leverage AT&T's network and is designed to offer competitive pricing and robust connectivity options.

According to The Verge, Cash App Mobile will offer an unlimited 5G data plan at $40 per month, which includes taxes and fees. The service is powered by Gigs, a white label operator that also supports Klarna's mobile service. Cash App plans to enhance its ecosystem further by integrating features like the Cash App Green rewards program and Cash App Families, aimed at managing accounts for children and teens.
