Nvidia has officially announced the retirement of its GeForce Control Panel application, a staple in the gaming and graphics community for the past 20 years. This move marks a significant shift as the company transitions all its essential Control Panel features to the new Nvidia app, which aims to offer a more modern and streamlined user experience.
According to The Verge, Nvidia stated that with the latest update to the Nvidia app, all actively supported features have been migrated, effectively phasing out the legacy Control Panel for GeForce users. The classic app will remain on user PCs unless a clean driver installation is performed, but it will no longer receive updates or new features. The Nvidia app now serves as an all-in-one solution for managing drivers, game settings, and various features including DLSS modes.
