Valve Makes Significant VR Headset Shipment of 13 Tons

In a notable development for the virtual reality market, Valve has transported a substantial shipment of VR headsets, amounting to 13 tons, marking a significant step in their hardware strategy. This import, which arrived in Los Angeles, appears to be part of the first wave of mass production for Valve’s new gaming headset, the Steam Frame.

According to The Verge, the shipment was handled by Valve's distribution partner, Ceva, which offloaded nearly 32 metric tons of 'Virtual Reality Devices' on behalf of the company. After accounting for the weight of shipping containers, this translates to approximately 13 tons of actual VR products. Furthermore, Valve has reportedly stockpiled around 141 metric tons of Steam Machines, indicating a robust preparation for their release this summer.
